Kegunaan yang aku cuba: -

  2. Still cam
  3. Motion activation cam
  4. Dashboard cam
Peeping Tom cam pun boleh! Ceehhh, haram buat macam tu la.

Aku dapat best deal kat sini (search lelong.my sj4000 melodyworld) lepas usaha untuk memilikinya dari penjual part time kat Puchong tak berjaya atas faktor masa lapang dia pukul 11 malam. Jauh doh nak pergi sana dari Gombak!

Sejak aku menceburi mountain biking aku merakamkannya bagi kenangan kekal abadi di Picasa milikku. Awalnya banyak gambar aku dapat rakam, akhir-akhirnya makin berkurangan. Antara sebab-sebabnya: -

Revisiting Kota Damansara Community Forest trail

This was the last ride before Ramadhan, 28 June 2014.
This year, I started to revisit KDCF trail after my last ride, many years back.  Maybe a race there in 2010 was the last time I been there before.  They were just completed Temuan Trail when Fakawi Tribe organized the second race at KDCF.  The first was 2 km race (photos only) on KDCF's first ever trail, the Scout Trail in 2009.

Fast forward, now they have added Sahabat Trail to the network; now become a total 6km of jungle single track mountainbiking pleasure.

Why I like KDCF?
Here are the are reasons: -

  1. Singletrack
  2. Primary jungle
  3. No mosquitoes
  4. Trailhead is less that 50 meters from the carpark.
  5. Proper signage marking the trail direction.

Trail length
Scout only: 2km
Scout plus Temuan: 4km
Scout plus Temuan plus Sahabat: 6km (additional 2km by guessing the length of Sahabat Trail)

Santa Cruz Chameleon

If we can't get enough of 1, get 2 of Chameleon.

Santa Cruz Chameleon MK4, size L

Santa Cruz Chameleon MK3, size M

Wasn't actually kept both bikes, but here's the story..

Chameleon MK4
This used bike was on sale at BBS for RM4.8k.  It was a complete bike with full Deore XT 10 speed groupset and Rockshox Reba RLT 120mm. From my calculation, it is a good deal.  Now come to the size, it is an L size or 18" frame. My height is on the upper region of M size and lower region of L, and I thought it would fit be nice.  After few months for trying to get the right setup (i.e. handle reach, pedal reach) this L size somehow did not feel so right for me. Then I came across someone else who was trying to sell M size Chameleon MK3 at BBS.

Chameleon MK3
This seller live in Penang, 400km up north from KL. After I managed to get my large size brother in-law to buy my MK4, I get him to agree to drive up to Penang to view and buy the bike on the same day. The rest of it is history. I am quite satisfied with M size MK3 as this suit me better than L size MK4.

Me and Chameleon MK3 at Bukit Kiara. I just love this Fakawi Tribe jersey ability to hide my love handle.

FRIM recorded with GoPro camera

I had this recorded with GoPro HERO3+ Black Edition sometime back in March 2014.  Post production was done using Windows 7 Movie Maker.

Enjoy!

Influencing others to join the bandwagon

A few weeks of riding my mamachari to a number of places and for a number of reasons, it has caught our Resident Association's Chairman attention.

On my way back home from Subuh prayer at surau, I was surrounded by 5 of regular surau-goers and they were asking in detail about my mamachari. The features of the bicycle really attracts them. Soon it became a knowledge sharing session lasted for 20 minutes.

On the next day Subuh prayer (New Year public holiday), Abang Aziz told me that he and Dato' Fauzan went to place that I roughly told them but could find it. I told them that if they want to go I am more than happy accompany them and help them to pick the bicycles.  Apparently he told me that Dato' Fauzan wanted to get 10 bicycles. It is for surau-goers to get some form of exercise right after Subuh prayer. I called Ah Meng the owner of the shop on potential visit that morning. To cut story short, the visit wasn't materialized since RA's meeting were lasted until Zohor prayer and I had other matters to attend to.

To those interested in getting mamachari, foldie, and some not so modern MTB and roadbike, check out this place (N3.3369167, E101.5602667)

KEMBAS - Pengkalan Balak, Melaka (Day 1)

Spinned off from the talk during KEMBAS - Sungai Sendat in November 2013, followed by solo trip up north to Teluk Intan a month later, I (we) materialized an ambitious longer and overnight cycling trip down south to Pengkalan Balak.

Si Kilat, a newly setup touring rig.

There were 4 of us namely BC Kelolo, Anuar and notorious tourer Subki. From my judgement in term of strength for touring, we are in the following order: -

  1. Subki
  2. BC Kelolo
  3. Anuar
  4. Myself
It is important to ensure each cyclist fitness since the fastest cyclist can only be as fast as the slowest cyclist. Fast cyclist may be hampered if the his fitness is far fetch by the slowest cyclist and he will end up spending more time waiting than cycling.

Subki is fast. He is very fast that even he ride on knobbies tyres, he can beat us in skinnies tyres. Having him around indeed was a good knowledge sharing experience for the rest of us.

Our first bicycle casualty was Anuar's crank. We got it fix at K Pro Cycle located at Sungai Sikamat, Cheras.

It was a break for us until proceed further to UKM, Bangi.  I had 2 bowls of cendol here to satisfy my hunger and thirst.

We had lunch and prayers somewhere in Sepang then proceed to PD via Bukit Pelanduk. As the name goes, this part of the leg was hilly and twisty.  As we completed those hilly section, Subki had a flat tyre. His approach of quick patch tube was a failure, just like what I had experienced before.

Port Dickson is not as flat as pancake, that was what I learned when we crossed this leg. I guessed it was due to our hectic pedaling for the last 100km had already taking toll on us.

Continuing the hilly section at Pasir Panjang Port Dickson until we stop over for a break at the small town. It was a surprise reunion for myself to bump into an old friend during my bachelorhood.

Sani, now owning a tour agent business.

At Kampung Tanjung Serai, Kuala Sungai Baru we had our prayer break before proceed another less than 20km to Pengkalan Balak.  At about 9:00PM, we reached Pengkalan Balak and had dinner at the food court. I guess at that juncture, any food would be that delicious due to our hunger. At 10PM, we reached the destination. After quick unloading and nice shower, we sleep before continue our return trip journey the next morning.
